I have forgotten my password, what do I do? 

  1. Open your NANO login page in a web browser on your computer or mobile device. Select the correct NANO link based on the company you belong to.
  2. Click on "FORGOT PASSWORD, UNLOCK ACCOUNT, OR HELP".
  3. Click "Forgot password?" - You will then be guided through a 'set new password' service in NANO. 

 

How to reset password? 

  1. Log in to the NANO /Okta homepage. 
  2. After successfully authenticating your NANO/Okta account, click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the homepage and select "Settings". 
  3. You will be directed to the Settings page. Under the "Security Methods" section, you'll find the option to reset your password.

Lost phone or new phone – set up Okta Verify again 

If you want to reset the Okta Verify due to lost phone or new phone, follow the steps under:  

  1. Log in to the NANO /Okta homepage. 
  2. After successfully authenticating your NANO/Okta account, click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the homepage and select "Settings". 
  3. You will be directed to the Settings page. Under the "Security Methods" section, you’ll find the option to remove your active Okta Verify setup.

I have entered the wrong password several times, and I cannot log in. 

If you have entered the wrong password several times, your NANO account has now been locked. You can unlock it yourself by selecting "FORGOT PASSWORD, UNLOCK ACCOUNT, OR HELP" and then "Unlock account". Here, you will have several options for unlocking (via SMS, phone call, or email). 

 

The SMS code / onetime code for two-factor authentication wasn't received due to an incorrect or outdated phone number 

  1. Inform your manager about this issue.  
  2. The manager will log in to MinSide and update your mobile phone number directly in the system. 

How to enable Face ID on Okta Verify app 

  1. On your phone, go into the Okta Verify app.  
  2. Click on the tab which is connected to your NANO/Okta accountimage6q8q9.png
  3. Check the status for Face ID confirmation under Security section: imagep0z4e.png

 

I have not activated my NANO-account, what should I do? 

  • Search in your mailbox or messages for the term "NANO NorgesGruppen".  
  • Click on the link in the email or message and follow the instructions.

I haven’t received the activation link for my NANO account in my mailbox. What should I do?

If you have not received the actiovation link in your mailbox, contact Brukerstøtte (support).

 

Receiving token has expired when clicking on the activation link – what does this mean?

The activation link works only once. It should only be used to activate your NANO account. If you have already completed the activation, you can use the NANO login page to log in. If you have not activated your account, you will need a new activation link from User Support. 

NOTE: The email address must be registered on MinSide before contacting User Support.

Why do I need to set up the so-called “two-factor authentication”? 

NorgesGruppen has implemented a security policy stating that when accessing the internet (e.g., from home or while on the go), users are required to utilise additional security measures during login. This means that all users must employ an extra factor when logging into NorgesGruppen applications or accessing data. 

 

I see there are several options for 'two-factor authentication.' Which type can or should I choose? 

Everyone must create at least one alternative; here, either SMS or 'Okta Verify' is mandatory. 

  1. APP (called Okta Veriy app) - This is a secure and user-friendly method of implementing two-factor authentication. The user receives a push notification from the app on their mobile device. We strongly encourage all employees at NorgesGruppen to utilise the Okta Verify app on your mobile device as their MFA solution. This app not only adds an additional layer of security but also allows for quicker approval processes, streamlining the authentication experience and proving to be more cost-effective for the organisation.   2. SMS - A message is sent to the user with a code that must be used for logging in. While SMS-based MFA is commonly used within the organisation, it is important to recognise that this method is not the most secure method available. Although it provides an extra layer of protection compared to traditional password-only authentication, SMS-based MFA has inherent vulnerabilities that may compromise its effectiveness.

 

What is login URL for your NANO?

The link you need to use to log in to NANO depends on the company you belong to. You will find an overview of all the companies in NorgesGruppen, along with the corresponding login links.

 

I do not get access to MinSide/SuccessFactors?  

  • The password created in NANO must be NEW and UNIQUE.  
  • If the password you create is the same as the previous one, you will be locked out of systems like MinSide. NANO is a login solution that synchronise your identity to your applications, together with new passwords. 

Solution: Go to the NANO login page for your company and use the 'Forgot password' function. 

Please note, this process will change once Workday is implemented. 

 

I entered a new password during the setup of my NANO account; where does this password apply? 

This password is synchronised across all the accounts/applications you may have, which are currently reset using newpassword.norgesgruppen.no, such as Windows/PC and MinSide. 

Email from NorgesGruppen with the subject – «Ny pålogging oppdaget for Nano-kontoen din»

This is a standard security email sent to you whenever new devices (mobile, PC, tablet) or a new browser (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.) are used. If you do not recognise this activity, it is strongly recommended that you change the password for your NANO account.
